As part of the continuing efforts of the Western Initiative for Nuclear and in conjunction with the 2014 Intermountain Energy Summit being held August 19th & 20th in Idaho Falls, NuScale Power is inviting all potential Small Modular Reactor (SMR) industry suppliers to participate in our first Supplier’s Day event on Thursday, August 21st.

NuScale is revolutionizing the nuclear supply chain through the way reactor modules will be fabricated and the way power plants will be constructed:

• The NuScale Power Module™ will be factory built and transportable to the site by ship, rail or truck.

• The small plant size and simple design will lead to smaller components and a lower number of critical components.

• Modularized components will be fabricated and assembled at offsite manufacturing facilities—standardizing the manufacturing process, increasing efficiency, improving quality, and lowering cost.

What Will Happen at the NuScale Power Supplier’s Day?

The event commences with an open-bar cocktail reception on Wednesday, August 20th.

During the morning of August 21st, presentations will be given by NuScale Power’s Vice President of Supply Chain, Scott Bailey and Chief Commercial Officer, Mike McGough. Suppliers will learn about NuScale Power, NuScale Power Module technology, and supply chain opportunities.

Following a complimentary buffet lunch, suppliers will meet with a NuScale Power supply chain representative for pre-scheduled, 15-minute, one-on-one sessions.

Hours: August 20th – Open-bar cocktail reception: 7PM-9PM
August 21st – Presentations: 9AM-11AM; One-on-one meetings: 1PM-4PM
Meals Provided: Buffet Lunch: 11AM-1PM
Attendee Limit: Two attendees per supplier.
Maximum Attendees: Space is limited—Registration will continue until all one-on-one meeting times are filled.
Attendee Requirement: Must register using our online registration. No walk-ins. Registered attendees will receive confirmation ticket. Please bring ticket with you to check-in at event.
