engineering, fabrication, procurement, and construction expertise and financial
strength, customers across the globe have a low risk, competitive option for their
new-build nuclear facility.
Fluor serves its energy and power clients through a global network of offices on
six continents. Fluor has designed, built, or provided construction support at 20
nuclear units in the United States over the past 67 years. In addition, Fluor’s
commercial nuclear experience includes the maintenance, modification, and related
operating plant support services for 87 nuclear reactor units. All of this work
was performed in accordance with the rigorous requirements of 10CFR50.
Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, LLC, a Fluor-led partnership, is currently providing
site management and operations, environmental management, and nuclear operations
management services at the Savannah River Nuclear Laboratory. From 1996 to 2008,
Fluor was DOE’s prime contractor for remediating a significant portion of Hanford.
Fluor managed seven technical projects and maintained the site’s infrastructure.
Fluor also managed the environmental cleanup and site closure of the Fernald uranium
production facility, one of the largest environmental cleanup operations undertaken
in U.S. history.
